Spanish Dual Language eDUCATION
One of the hallmarks of Quarry Trail Elementary School is our dual language education program. Through this immersive experience, students gain proficiency in multiple languages, fostering a deep appreciation for different cultures and broadening their horizons. Our program began in 2022-2023 with TK and Kindergarten. We will add a grade level each year through 2034-2035, at which point the program will span TK-12th grade.
In our program's 50/50 model, students spend half of their instructional time learning in Spanish and the other half in English. This dual-language model not only promotes bilingualism but also fosters cultural understanding and cognitive development. Students in the program develop proficiency in both languages, allowing them to communicate effectively in real-world contexts while also gaining a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. This approach not only enhances academic achievement but also prepares students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global society, equipping them with valuable language skills and a broader worldview.
